if i could choose one resort/spring 2012 collection to wear all season it'd be steven alan's.  it captures all the new, interesting things i want to add to my wardrobe (color, colorblocking, polka dots, drop waist silhouettes, etc) with a retro, casual twist.

although none of these items are steven alan, they remind me of his latest collections, and most of the items are pretty affordable:

dress- anthropologie; sunglasses- cutler and gross; dress- madewell

colored jeans- jcrew; shoes- urban outfitters
